Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working in partnership with a dynamic and forward-thinking education and training provider to recruit a Head of MIS.

This is a key leadership role overseeing three high-performing teams: MIS, Timetabling, and Admissions. The successful post holder will also lead on reporting and analytics, ensuring high-quality data and insights that support the organisation's strategic goals.

As Head of MIS, you will be responsible for the integrity of curriculum and student records, ensuring efficient use of resources, accurate statutory data returns, and an outstanding learner experience through effective timetabling and admissions processes.

Main Responsibilities of the Head of MIS:
* Lead and manage the MIS, Timetabling and Admissions teams to ensure all key priorities and deadlines are met
* Support the development of a culture of engagement, wellbeing and continuous improvement across all teams
* Oversee the production and submission of statutory data returns (e.g. ESFA, HESA, OfS) with strong audit compliance
* Ensure timely, secure and accurate processing of student data, attendance and curriculum records
* Lead the production of the college timetable with effective use of staff and room resources
* Ensure timetabling plans and rules are in place and reviewed annually with key stakeholders
* Drive improvements in class sizes, staff deployment and estate usage in collaboration with the Timetabling team
* Oversee college admissions processes to ensure a responsive, student-centred experience that supports recruitment targets
* Work closely with the Executive of Business Intelligence, Growth & Skills to deliver high-quality reporting and analytics
* Develop the use of systems and automation to increase data accuracy and operational efficiency
* Lead internal audits across MIS and timetabling to identify risks early and maintain quality standards
* Coordinate register and attendance system training for college staff to ensure accuracy and accountability

The Successful Head of MIS will have:
* A degree or equivalent professional qualification
* Strong knowledge of the education and training sector, including funding requirements and data standards
* Experience of managing MIS in a large and complex organisation
* Proven ability to lead timetabling and admissions operations in an educational setting
* A track record of developing effective reporting systems and business intelligence
* Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrable experience of leading and developing high-performing teams
* Knowledge of the Pro Suite (ProSolution, ProMonitor, ProPortal) is desirable
