Job Title: Young Persons Support Worker - 16-25 year olds.

Job Type: Temporary to permanent - 12 weeks

Location: Coventry

We're looking for a caring, motivated Young Persons Support Worker in Coventry to support young people aged 16-25 in achieving their goals and building brighter futures. You'll work with a caseload of young people to assess needs, create action plans, develop life skills, and help them access education, training, and employment.

Key Responsibilities of a Young Persons Support Worker:

  • Build positive relationships and provide consistent, reliable support.

  • Help young people improve life skills through individual and group sessions.

  • Motivate and support them to sustain education, training, or work.

  • Carry out risk and needs assessments, developing tailored plans.

  • Connect young people with training providers, employers, and support services.

  • Support preparation for independent living and sustaining tenancies.

  • Maintain accurate records and respond effectively to crises.

What We're Looking For:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).

  • Experience working as a young persons support worker or with young people in settings such as youth work, housing, education, or social care.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to engage and inspire.

  • Able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.

  • IT literate and organised.

  • Car driver ideally - travel in Coventry essential
