Young Person Recovery Worker - Westminster

Young Person Recovery Worker is required to work on an initial temporary contract for one of the largest drug and alcohol charities in the country.

In order to guarantee that service users receive the appropriate intervention at the appropriate time and in the manner that best suits their needs, the ideal applicant will possess the knowledge and expertise to evaluate and interact with clients.

Responsibilities:

· Assist the Senior Practitioner, Team Leader, or Service Manager in managing a caseload of families and providing interventions to families.

· Establish a connection of mutual respect and trust with every member of the family by setting an example of clear communication and steadfast assistance.

· Participate in evaluations of children's and adolescents' needs using a strengths-based and solution-focused methodology.

· Provide parenting and psychosocial therapies to establish cooperative goals with families.

· Collaborate with other important organisations, such as learning mentors, outreach workers, health visitors, and social workers, to find and assist kids, teens, and families.

· Together with the family, plan suitable exits, making sure that any necessary ongoing assistance from pertinent services is provided, and keep track of and document all interactions, interventions, and work done on behalf of families.


Experience Required:

· Expertise in a related field, such as intense family assistance, targeted juvenile work, substance abuse, criminal justice, housing, employment, mental health, etc., dealing with complicated and difficult families.

· Knowledge and experience of suitable interventions, as well as an awareness of the demands of parenting.

· Experience with therapeutic therapies, such as Family Links D, MST, CBT, and MI.

· Understanding of working with vulnerable individuals and children in the context of safeguarding.

· Using service delivery paradigms and participating in Early Help Plans E.

· able to engage families and provide them with intensive support, sometimes under stressful circumstances, while maintaining professional limits.

· Working experience with families and carers.
