Our client
Morgan Hunt is working with a leading charity delivering quality support services to individuals who are affected by domestic abuse, homelessness and young parents across the North of England. They support people to overcome the experiences they have had, whilst empowering them to build up the skills and resources they need to take control of their own lives, access a tenancy of their own and maintain quality of lie in the long term. We are looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Worker to cover a maternity post across the Cheshire West and Chester dispersed refuge service. This is a full - time role, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, and will involve travel across the Cheshire West and Chester area.
The role
As a Domestic Abuse Worker, you will;
- Manage a caseload of approximately 6 properties under the emergency dispersed refuge service across Cheshire West and Chester.
- Conduct weekly support sessions with clients living within the properties to understand their support needs.
- Complete DASH Risk Assessments.
- Complete health and safety checks of the properties.
- Work with external agencies around the needs of clients living within the properties.
- Work with clients to secure access to longer term accommodation.
- Offer trauma informed support to clients who have experienced domestic abuse.
The candidate
- Experience of working with vulnerable people with complex needs.
- Experience of working in a trauma informed way to support vulnerable people.
- Experience of managing a caseload.
- Experience of completing support plans and risk assessments.
- Due to the nature of this role, driving is essential.
