Summary
Morgan Hunt are working with a social housing provider, currently seeking a customer-focused Repairs Officer to join our Property Services team. In this role, you'll make a real difference to residents' homes by ensuring responsive repairs and void properties are managed efficiently, to the highest standards, and within agreed timescales.
You'll take ownership of the full process, from raising and monitoring work orders, through to completion and post-inspections, ensuring repairs are delivered on time, on budget, and to the satisfaction of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for residents, contractors, and colleagues regarding repairs and voids.
- Managing the end-to-end repairs and voids process using systems such as Plentific and Homemaster.
- Carrying out pre- and post-inspections of repairs and void works.
- Working closely with contractors to issue work orders, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality standards.
- Delivering the voids management process, ensuring properties are turned around within target timescales.
- Proactively chasing outstanding works and managing contractor performance to hit KPIs.
- Handling complaints, queries, and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring positive outcomes for residents.
- Approving invoices and maintaining accurate records for full audit compliance.
About you
- Experience managing responsive repairs and/or voids in housing or a similar environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, customer-first approach.
- Confidence using housing/repairs management systems (e.g., Plentific, Homemaster).
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
