Morgan Hunt are working with a well-established business within the construction industry, supporting their search for a Quantity Surveyor with experience or interest in the scaffolding sector.
Based in Dundee this company has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable solutions across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects throughout Scotland.
🛠️ About the Role:
You'll play a key role in supporting commercial operations on a variety of scaffolding and access-related projects. Depending on your level of experience, you will either work alongside senior commercial leads or manage projects independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of valuations and variations
- Cost control and budgeting throughout project lifecycle
- Liaising with operational teams to ensure accurate cost reporting
- Supporting tender processes and subcontractor negotiations
- Managing interim payments, final accounts and dispute resolution
- Site visits to monitor progress and maintain commercial awareness
Who Would Fit Well?
- A Junior QS looking to specialise and grow in a niche area of construction
- OR an experienced QS with a background in scaffolding, temporary works, or similar
- Strong numeracy and communication skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to build relationships across site and office teams
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish
