About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Construction Multi-Skills Lecturer to join our teaching team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning across a range of construction trades, including carpentry, brickwork, painting & decorating, plastering, and basic plumbing. You will inspire and support learners to achieve their full potential, preparing them for successful careers in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in a variety of construction trade subjects.
- Assess learners' practical skills and knowledge, providing constructive feedback.
- Develop teaching materials and schemes of work that meet awarding body standards.
- Monitor and track learner progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Promote and embed health & safety practices within the workshop and classroom.
- Support learners with employability skills and career development.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in standardisation, team meetings, and staff development activities.
About You
- Level 3 qualification in a construction trade (multi-skills experience essential).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS) or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong industry background with up-to-date knowledge of construction practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to supporting learners of all abilities and backgrounds.
