We are seeking a Temporary Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our team and help inspire the next generation of engineers. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional or skilled trainer to share their expertise in both workshop and classroom settings.

Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Turning and Milling (manual and CNC)
- CNC Machine Operation and Programming
- 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing
- Engineering Drawing and CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Maintenance of machining assemblies
- PLCs, wiring, and electrical circuit testing
- Pneumatics and fluid power systems
- Engineering Mathematics
- Engineering project supervision
Desirable Experience
- Teaching or training at Level 2 and 3, particularly with EAL apprentices or vocational learners
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and work-based learning
- Ability to deliver both workshop demonstrations and classroom teaching effectively
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, industry-relevant sessions to apprentices and learners
- Supervise engineering projects and provide mentorship and support
- Collaborate with employers to enrich learning experiences
- Promote safety, inclusion, and high standards across all activities
- Contribute to curriculum development and programme leadership
Requirements
- Degree in an engineering discipline (Master's desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring future engineers
- Valid DBS on the update service
