
HR Administrator
Morgan Hunt is working with a leading Further Education College based in the heart of Birmingham. We are recruiting for a HR Administrator to join their vibrant and cohesive HR operations team.

The Role
The HR administrator will provide a professional, efficient, confidential, and proactive HR service. This includes delivering excellent customer service throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with all HR policies and procedures, and serving as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer recruitment processes, including advertising jobs, liaising with candidates and managers, producing recruitment documentation, issuing contracts, and completing pre-employment checks
- Ensure compliance with safer recruitment practices during onboarding.
- Accurately process and submit monthly payroll changes and updates on the HR system
- Administer new starters and leavers, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all associated processes.
- Maintain systems with contractual and payroll changes.
- Log staff absences appropriately and ensure accurate data transfer to payroll.
- Maintain accurate absence data and provide first-line guidance to staff on absence reporting procedures.
- Track fixed-term contracts and advise relevant parties in line with policy.
- Produce timely and accurate HR management information and support HR report production.
- Complete tasks in line with the HR Annual Calendar.
- Maintain personnel files in accordance with Retention, Data Protection, and GDPR policies.
- Support HR audits to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
- Actively contribute to HR team meetings and departmental initiatives. Respond to staff queries promptly and deliver a customer-focused service.
- Commit to, promote and operate in accordance with college values and goals including but not limited to: safeguarding; health and safety; diversity and inclusion, anti-racism, trauma informed practice and High Performing Teams.
- Commit to and participate in college-wide activities as required including but not limited to: enrolment; open events; development.
Education, skills and experience:
- Minimum Level 2 qualifications in Maths & English
- CIPD Level 3 (Or Equivalent) Qualification
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced in utilising information systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS required or the willingness to apply for a DBS
