We are working with a Local Authority, based in London, to recruit an Interim Pay and Reward Specialist on an initial 3-month contract with potential to be extended.




Some key areas of this role will be:

  • Lead the development of pay performance, management, reward and benefits strategies, policies and systems.
  • Review of the pay and grading structures, market factors, recruitment and retention initiatives, pay progression, performance related pay and non-financial staff benefits.
  • Lead on pay negotiations with the Trade Unions.

  • You will bring your exceptional senior reward and systems implementation experience, underpinned by your experience within Local Government and across HR, to drive forward initiatives to achieve the Council's vision.
  • You will use your demonstrable experience of successfully delivering pay and reward, through a time of significant change in both teams and a busy schedule.
  • You will be a self-starter, able to manage your workload in consideration with the dependencies within the programme, maintaining progress and providing highlight information throughout the programme.




There will be the expectation to be in the office 2-3 days a week however there may be some occasions where there needs to be some flexibility on this depending on business need.




This role falls inside IR35, and will be paid through an umbrella company.
