Morgan Hunt is working in partnership with a highly regarded Further Education College located in Northamptonshire. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Assessor.

The Role:
The Early Years Assessor will assess, guide, mentor and monitor learners undertaking Early Years qualifications, The role will involve assessing Level 2 - T Level learners on their placements and to liaise with the team for assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of learners across various levels (e.g. Level 2‑5 Early Years), monitoring their progress, attendance, and achievement.
- Conduct assessments in workplace settings (nurseries, pre‑schools, etc.) and in college (observations, practical assessments, portfolio reviews, professional discussions).
- Carry out learner reviews and feedback sessions regularly; set clear development targets.
- Liaise and collaborate with employers, placement mentors, and internal teaching staff to ensure workplace assessments align with curriculum outcomes and learner support needs.
- Support learners' learning journeys: providing guidance, advice, and pastoral support where needed to ensure retention and achievement.
- Prepare learners for any end‑point assessments or external verification where required.
- Keep accurate records: portfolios, electronic tracking systems, attendance, assessment outcomes, reviews.
- Stay up‑to‑date with Early Years sector developments, legislation, best practice, and changes in qualification/assessment frameworks.
- Travel to placements and workplaces within Northamptonshire (and possibly surrounding regions) as required.
Education, Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in Early Years / Early Childhood / Education.
- Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Early Years / Childcare / Related subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
- Must have a Enhanced DBS - DBS Update Services
- Occupational competence: current relevant experience working in Early Years settings.
- Experience of working in a Further Education (FE) college environment.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and current industry practices
