A leading FE College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Public Services Lecturer to join our passionate teaching team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in uniformed or non-uniformed public services to share their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with our learners.
About the Role:
As a Public Services Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across a range of subjects, including leadership, teamwork, fitness, and the role of public services in society. You'll help learners develop the skills, confidence, and understanding they need for successful careers in areas such as the police, fire service, armed forces, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons across public services programmes.
- Motivate and support learners to achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on learner progress.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of the department.
- Support enrichment activities and practical learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance, and learner achievement.
About You:
- Relevant qualification in Public Services or a related field.
- Experience teaching or training within the FE/HE sector is desirable.
- Background or understanding of the public services sector (military, police, fire, or similar).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about helping learners develop essential skills for their future careers.
