Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of those affected by domestic abuse? We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Domestic Abuse triage officer to provide front line support, advocacy, and guidance to individuals experiencing domestic abuse across North Surrey.

In this vital role, you'll offer emotional and practical support, conduct risk assessments and safety planning, and help clients access services such as housing, legal advice, healthcare, and benefits. You'll work closely with partner agencies, attend multi-agency meetings, and provide both one-to-one and group support to empower survivors and reduce isolation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver empathetic and confidential outreach services to clients experiencing domestic abuse.
  • Carry out risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure clients receive appropriate support and referrals.
  • Manage and triage incoming referrals to ensure prompt, effective allocation of work.
  • Maintain accurate client records and contribute to monitoring and reporting.
  • Attend Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs).
  • Support awareness-raising and partnership initiatives across the community.

About You:

You're a confident communicator with experience supporting those affected by domestic abuse. You can work independently and as part of a team, have strong organisational skills, and are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and safeguarding practices.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, or in a similar advocacy role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and work to deadlines.
  • Strong administrative and IT skills.
  • Ability to build supportive, non-judgmental relationships with clients.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car for travel across the boroughs.

This post is open to female applicants only, under Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010.
