Support Worker - Homeless Hostel (Golders Green)

Temporary - approx. 3 months | Monday-Friday | 9am-4:30pm

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join a calm, clean and well-managed homeless hostel in Golders Green. The service accommodates 40 residents and benefits from 24/7 security. You will work closely with a long-standing staff member and manage a caseload of around 20 clients.

About the Role:
You will deliver person-centred, strengths-based support to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them sustain their tenancy, build confidence and move towards independent living. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about empowering vulnerable people and supporting meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored, person-centred support to clients living in the hostel

• Help residents maintain their tenancy and progress toward independent accommodation

• Understand and work with issues such as mental ill health, addiction, benefits, and housing needs

• Offer coaching, mentoring and guidance to support personal development

• Connect clients with appropriate internal and external services

• Use soft outcomes tools and monitoring systems to track progress and record achievements
