Key responsibilities
- Support students with additional needs to develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
- Provide one-to-one or small group mentoring to encourage positive learning attitudes and behaviours.
- Assist students in managing workload, behaviour, and time effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to support personalised learning plans.
- Help students build communication skills and confidence.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
- Promote positive behaviour and support conflict resolution.
- Contribute to reports and meetings on student progress.
Skills & experience
- Experience working with young people in mentoring or educational roles.
- Understanding of social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work well within a school team.
- Patience, empathy, and motivational skills.
- Available to interview immediately.
- Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service.
