Job Title: Communications Manager

Location: Hybrid working arrangement with an office based in Livingston. Will be required to attend the Livingston Head Office for specific business activity and must be prepared to travel for events.

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary Scale: £47,730 - £57,151

Direct Reports: 1 x Senior Communications Officer, 1 x Senior PR and Marketing Officer, 1 x Events and Engagement Officer

Hours: 35 hours per week. Happy to talk flexible working.

Morgan Hunt is excited to be working in partnership with ILF Scotland to appoint an exceptional and highly experienced Communications Manager to join their Communications Team.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Communications Lead, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Communications Team.

As Communications Manager, you will manage the day-to-day communications activity and shape internal and external messaging.

You will assist the Communications Lead with developing and delivering ILF Scotland's inclusive and values aligned communications and engagement strategy.

You will mitigate reputational and political risk by supporting the Communications Lead in the delivery of quality strategies, workplans, products and materials ensuring exposure to a wide range of stakeholders.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Communications Manager with significant experience in a Communications management role, ideally within a Public Body, local authority or Third Sector organisation with a focus on delivery. You'll bring an excellent track record of managing a team of communications professionals, managing PR and marketing campaigns, media engagement, and crisis communications.

It is essential that you have knowledge or understanding of accessibility standards. The successful candidate will be degree-qualified in a communications related discipline. CIPR accreditation (or working towards it) would be highly desirable.
