
Benefits Assessment Officer
Are you a Benefits Assessment Officer looking for work in South East London?
Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in South East London is looking to recruit a Benefits Assessment Officer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers hybrid working for greater flexibility.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Proficiently use the Academy (Capita) Revenues and Benefits processing system
- Assess all types of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support/Reduction claims for all tenure types
- Process new claims and changes in circumstances
- Deal with Universal Credit cases
- Respond to Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests
- Liaise with external organisations including Landlords, Employers and the Department for Work and Pensions
- Maintain the Supported Exempt Accommodation register
- Handle inbound customer queries
