Council Tax Officer

Are you a Council Tax Officer looking for work in Surrey or remotely from home?

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Surrey are looking to recruit a Council Tax Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer full time home working.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

- Proficiently use the iWorld/Northgate Version 6 ICT System
- Understand the recovery and enforcement legislation in relation to Council tax
- Administer the Recovery of Council Tax
- Open, close and amend Council Tax Accounts
- Take payments and set up direct debits
- Improve collection rates by negotiating payment plans from customers
- Maintaining accurate records and deciding the appropriate form of recovery action to take
- Determine liabilities
- Issue reminders and notices
- Handle summons arrangements
- Answering incoming calls from residents
