Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs to develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
• Provide one-to-one or small-group support to encourage positive learning attitudes and behaviours.
• Assist students in managing workload, behaviour, and time effectively.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to support personalised learning plans.
• Help students build communication skills and confidence.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
• Promote positive behaviour and support conflict resolution.
• Contribute to reports and meetings on student progress.
• Provide personal care, manual handling, and hoisting support for a female student (training provided if required).

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with young people in educational or support roles.
• Understanding of social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well within a school team.
• Patience, empathy, and motivational skills.
• Comfortable providing personal care, manual handling, and hoisting.
• Available to interview immediately.
• Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service.
