Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffees, teas, and other beverages to staff and students.
• Support the preparation and service of light snacks, sandwiches, and pastries.
• Operate till and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food preparation and service areas.
• Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and general kitchen duties.
• Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety procedures.
• Work as part of a small, friendly team in a busy environment.

Skills & Experience:

• Experienced in a similar capacity/front of house/F&B ideally in a coffee shop/cafe setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain standards under pressure.
• Understanding of allergen management and safe food handling.

Desirable/Additional:

• Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (CIEH / RSPH / Highfield) - essential
• Basic Health & Safety Awareness - desirable but not mandatory (Understanding of COSHH, manual handling, and workplace safety procedures.)
• Allergen Awareness Training - ideally, candidates should have completed online or in-person Allergen Awareness Training (in line with Natasha's Law requirements for food labelling).
