Repairs & Maintenance Officer

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Repairs & maintenance Officer for a period of around 3 months initially. You will deliver a high-quality, customer-focused repairs and maintenance service across properties. The role involves managing reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance works in both occupied and empty homes, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.

Main Duties

• Manage responsive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance from diagnosis through to completion, including pre- and post-inspections to ensure quality, value for money and target timescales are met.
• Carry out empty property inspections and instruct essential works to ensure homes meet letting standards.
• Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, homeowners and residents to coordinate and progress repairs and common works in mixed-tenure blocks.
• Process housing adaptation referrals, rot work surveys and common repair works, monitoring contractor performance, quality and spend against budget.
• Issue purchase orders, verify and authorise invoices, ensuring financial and procurement procedures are followed.
• Provide technical advice and clear communication to tenants, owners and stakeholders before and during works, including attending meetings where required.
• Support performance monitoring and contribute to continuous service improvement to maintain a high standard of housing repairs and maintenance delivery.

Experience

• You must have experience working in a similar role and a construction/trade background would also be considered
