🏫 About the Role

We're currently working with a well-established Further Education college in East London who are looking to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner.

This is a key role within the HR function, supporting senior leaders and managers across the organisation to deliver a high-quality, compliant, and proactive HR service.

You'll take ownership of the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations, stakeholder partnering, and organisational change.


🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted partner to senior managers across the college
  • Lead on complex employee relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, absence, redundancy)
  • Support and guide managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment law
  • Drive best practice across people management and organisational culture
  • Support restructures, consultations, and change projects
  • Analyse HR data and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to improve employee engagement and performance
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and safeguarding standards

✅ About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Proven experience in an HR Business Partner / Senior HR Advisor role
  • A strong background within the education sector (FE, schools, colleges or universities)
  • Extensive experience managing employee relations casework
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience working with HR systems (iTrent desirable)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with Trade Unions (desirable)
