Electrical Assessor (FE College)
Full-Time | Permanent | £40,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education college for an experienced Electrical Assessor to join their growing Apprenticeships and Work-Based Learning team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified assessor with industry experience in electrical installation to support and develop apprentices across a range of standards.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of electrical apprentices, supporting them through to successful completion of their qualifications. The role involves a mix of workplace assessment, portfolio support, and ensuring learners meet all required standards.
You will also contribute to internal quality assurance (IQA) processes and support standardisation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and support apprentices working towards electrical qualifications
- Deliver high-quality, workplace-based assessments and reviews
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure timely achievement of qualifications and EPA readiness
- Maintain accurate learner records in line with compliance requirements
- Support internal quality assurance (IQA) activities
Requirements
- Relevant electrical industry qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Recognised Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, A1, TAQA)
- Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification
- Recent industry experience in electrical installation
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience within FE or apprenticeship delivery (preferred)
