About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Recovery Practitioner to join a well-established drug and alcohol service in West Berkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting individuals affected by substance misuse and helping them achieve sustainable recovery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of clients, delivering comprehensive assessments and recovery plans
- Provide evidence-based psychosocial interventions on a 1:1 and group basis
- Deliver harm reduction advice, including needle exchange, overdose prevention, and naloxone distribution
- Support service users in accessing education, employment, and wellbeing services
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Identify safeguarding risks and take appropriate action
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with data protection policies
- Actively participate in team meetings and case reviews
What We're Looking For
- Experience working within substance misuse, mental health, or vulnerable groups
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and work under pressure
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Experience delivering structured interventions and support planning
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and CQC standards
- Competent IT skills (case management systems such as Nebula, SystemOne, or Theseus desirable)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
