A well-regarded Further Education College is seeking a Plumbing Lecturer to join its growing Construction department. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced lecturer or a qualified plumbing professional looking to bring their industry expertise into the classroom.
You'll play a key role in preparing learners for successful careers in the Building Services sector, delivering a blend of practical workshop sessions and classroom-based teaching across Plumbing programmes from Level 1 through to Level 3.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and training across Plumbing courses
- Support learners to develop industry-standard practical skills and technical knowledge
- Create engaging lesson plans and learning resources
- Assess learner work and monitor progress against targets
- Maintain workshop standards and promote safe working practices
- Contribute to learner recruitment, retention, and achievement
Essential Criteria:
- Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or equivalent
- Recent and relevant industry experience
- A genuine interest in helping learners achieve their potential
Desirable Criteria:
- Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake one
- Previous experience delivering training, apprenticeships, or classroom-based learning
- Assessor qualifications
