Location: Ipswich
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Start Date: August/September
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Construction Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced lecturer or an industry professional looking to transition into education and help shape the next generation of construction professionals.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical teaching across construction programmes, supporting learners to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required for successful careers within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of construction subjects
- Plan and prepare lessons, schemes of work, and assessment materials
- Monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback and support
- Maintain a safe and engaging workshop and classroom environment
What We're Looking For
- A relevant Construction qualification at Level 3 or above
- Strong industry experience within construction trades
- A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for developing learners
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience teaching within Further Education
- Assessor and/or IQA qualifications
- Experience delivering vocational qualifications or apprenticeships
