Key Responsibilities:
- Set and maintain educational and professional standards in teaching and curriculum development.
- Undertake course responsibilities including lesson planning, teaching, assessment, and administration.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, monitoring their progress.
- Maintain industry links and stay updated with developments in the subject area.
- Contribute to curriculum development and cross-disciplinary teaching strategies.
- Engage in research and scholarly activity or professional practice.
- Attend and lead course-related meetings and examination boards as required.
- Support projects and promote collaboration across specialist areas.
Qualifications:
- Relevant BA and postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- PhD or higher-level research degree.
- Teaching qualification (PG Cert or equivalent); completion of PGCERT in education required if not already held.
- Fellowship (or higher) of the Higher Education Academy.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience in teaching and assessment in a Higher Education environment.
- Proven experience in curriculum design and development.
- Experience in leading and managing educational programs.
- Evidence of research and professional practice relevant to the discipline.
- Strong industry connections to facilitate partnerships or collaborations.
