Young Person Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for a Young Person Support Worker to join a dedicated service in Lewisham, supporting young people who have recently left the care system and are transitioning into independent living.

💷 £15.00 per hour + Holiday Pay
📅 Ongoing Contract
🕒 Full-Time Hours Available


This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping young people develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to live independently and achieve positive outcomes.



Key Responsibilities:


✅ Manage and support a caseload of young people aged 16-25
✅ Assist clients with developing independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, tenancy management, and accessing education or employment
✅ Complete support plans, risk assessments, and regular keywork sessions
✅ Promote positive wellbeing, safeguarding, and personal development
✅ Support young people to access benefits, healthcare, training, and community services
✅ Maintain accurate case notes and ensure all records are up to date
✅ Work in partnership with local authorities, social workers, and external agencies


Requirements:

✔ Previous experience supporting young people, care leavers, or vulnerable adults
✔ Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management procedures
✔ Experience completing support plans and maintaining case records
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
