We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our inclusive Learning Support team at a thriving Further Education College. This rewarding role involves supporting students with a range of additional learning needs, enabling them to access their education, develop independence, and achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group learning support to students with additional learning needs.
- Support learners during classroom sessions, workshops, and practical activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and active participation in learning.
- Work collaboratively with lecturers and support staff to implement individual support strategies.
- Adapt learning resources where appropriate to meet individual learner needs.
- Assist students with organisation, study skills, note-taking, and assignment completion.
- Record learner progress and contribute to support reviews.
- Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
- Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and college policies.
Essential Requirements
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, positive, and supportive approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner welfare.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, dyslexia, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health & Social Care, Education, or a related subject.
- Previous experience in a Further Education, school, or adult learning environment.
- Knowledge of inclusive learning practices and reasonable adjustments.
