We are currently recruiting for a Hairdressing Lecturer on behalf of a well-established Further Education College in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hairdressing professional to share their industry knowledge and inspire the next generation of hair professionals.

The role would suit an experienced lecturer, tutor, or industry professional looking to move into education. You will support learners to develop their practical skills, technical knowledge, and confidence while preparing them for successful careers within the hairdressing industry.

Education Requirements:

• A Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing or a relevant subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
• Relevant assessor or vocational training qualifications would be desirable.

Experience Requirements:

• Relevant industry experience within the Hairdressing sector.
• Experience delivering practical and theory-based Hairdressing training or education.
• Experience supporting learners to develop their technical knowledge and practical skills.
• Strong knowledge of current industry practices, standards, and professional expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Hairdressing lessons across vocational programmes.
• Plan lessons, assess learner progress, and provide effective feedback to support positive outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and professional salon environment.
• Provide academic and pastoral support, motivating learners to develop their technical knowledge and professional skills.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and the wider success of the department.
