Industrial Placement Officer - Further Education

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Further Education college for an enthusiastic and organised Industrial Placement Officer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent relationship-building and organisational skills to play a key role in supporting students as they gain valuable industry experience. Working closely with employers, curriculum teams and students, you will help create meaningful placement opportunities that enhance learners' employability and career prospects.

The Role

As an Industrial Placement Officer, you will:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers to secure high-quality industrial placement opportunities.
• Promote the college's placement programme through networking, employer engagement and business development activities.
• Support students throughout their placement journey, ensuring they are appropriately matched, monitored and supported.
• Work closely with curriculum teams to coordinate placements and monitor learner progress.
• Ensure all employer risk assessments, safeguarding and DBS requirements are completed before placements begin.
• Maintain accurate placement records and databases, ensuring compliance with college policies and quality standards.
• Collect employer and learner feedback to support continuous improvement of the placement programme.
• Contribute towards achieving placement targets and key performance indicators.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A Level 3 qualification or above (or equivalent).
• Experience in administration, employer engagement, recruitment, careers, apprenticeships or work-based learning.
• Experience building and maintaining positive relationships with employers or external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• A proactive, flexible approach with a genuine passion for supporting learners into the workplace.

Desirable

• Experience working within Further Education, apprenticeships or employability services.
• Knowledge of work placements, industrial placements or employer engagement.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 or SharePoint.
• An understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance requirements within education.
