The Role
As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons that equip students with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to succeed within the automotive industry.
Working with learners across a range of programmes, you will support student achievement through high-quality teaching, assessment, and mentoring, helping them develop both their technical competence and employability skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching and training within Motor Vehicle programmes.
- Preparing and delivering engaging lessons that combine theory and practical learning.
- Assessing student work and monitoring learner progress.
- Providing academic and pastoral support to students.
- Maintaining accurate student records and documentation.
- Supporting curriculum development to ensure programmes meet current industry standards.
- Promoting safe working practices within workshop environments.
- Encouraging students to achieve their full potential and progress into employment or further study.

Essential Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Motor Vehicle Studies or a related discipline.
- Strong industry experience within the Motor Vehicle sector.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences.
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous teaching, training, assessing, or mentoring experience.
- A recognised teaching qualification such as:
- PGCE
- Certificate in Education
- Equivalent teaching qualification
- Candidates without a teaching qualification may still be considered if they have significant industry experience and are willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
