We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Supported Learning Lecturer to join a supportive Further Education college in the Essex area this September.

The Opportunity
As a Supported Learning Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that support learners to achieve their individual goals and EHCP outcomes. You'll create a positive learning environment where students feel valued, encouraged and empowered to succeed.
Working closely with Learning Support Assistants and wider college teams, you'll play an important role in helping learners develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs
- Supporting learners with their academic, personal and social development
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitoring learner progress and celebrating achievements
- Supporting learners to achieve their EHCP outcomes and individual targets
- Developing learners' confidence, communication and independence skills
- Working collaboratively with support staff, parents, carers and external professionals
- Encouraging learners to prepare for adulthood, employment and future progression opportunities
- Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to annual reviews where required
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching learners with SEND, learning difficulties or disabilities
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A positive, patient and learner focused approach
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting learner success
- Ability to differentiate learning to meet a variety of needs
- Experience within Further Education or Supported Learning settings is desirable
