Housing Management Officer - Kent

Location: Harrow, London

Pay: Approximately £15.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, and Flexible Shifts Available

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Housing Management Officer to join our team in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity to support residents, manage housing services, and help ensure safe, well-maintained, and sustainable tenancies.

As a Housing Management Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality housing management services while building positive relationships with tenants, local authorities, and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of tenancies and provide effective tenancy management services.
  • Support residents to sustain their tenancies and promote independent living.
  • Conduct tenancy visits, property inspections, and estate inspections.
  • Address tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour, and neighbour disputes in line with organisational policies.
  • Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and external agencies to resolve housing-related issues.
  • Assist with void property management, sign-ups, and tenancy changes.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and case notes using housing management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and housing legislation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housing management, tenancy management, supported housing, or a similar role is desirable.
  • Good understanding of housing legislation and tenancy management principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one), where required.
