Hairdressing Lecturer (Temporary, 29 Hours per week)



Morgan Hunt is currently recruiting for an experienced Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer to join a well-established college in South Yorkshire on a full-time temporary contract.







This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated hairdressing lecturer who has experience delivering high-quality teaching within the Further Education sector.



Role Details

• Position: Hairdressing Lecturer
• Location: South Yorkshire
• Contract: 29 Hours per week (Timetable to be confirmed)
• Pay Rate: £32.00 - £37.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective hairdressing & barbering lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessments.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that motivates and supports learners to achieve their potential.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience teaching hairdressing would be desirable, however someone with strong industry experience will be considered.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A relevant qualification within the sector
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
