๐Ÿ“ Locations: Streatham, Croydon & Clapham

โฐ Hours: 35 hours per week

๐Ÿ“… Contract: 6-8 weeks, with potential extension

๐Ÿ‘ค Reports to: Deputy Recovery Programme Manager

๐ŸŽฏ Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Recovery Practitioner to support men recovering from addiction within a safe, structured and supportive residential environment.

You will help residents build confidence, independence and resilience through recovery coaching, group work, practical support and community development.

๐Ÿ”‘ Key Responsibilities

  • ๐Ÿค Build positive, professional relationships with residents.
  • ๐Ÿง  Provide one-to-one recovery support and develop individual growth plans.
  • ๐ŸŽค Facilitate recovery groups, workshops and activities.
  • ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ Promote a positive, supportive recovery community.
  • ๐Ÿ  Support residents with independent living skills and accommodation responsibilities.
  • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Identify and escalate safeguarding, wellbeing and risk concerns.
  • ๐Ÿ“ Maintain accurate case notes and resident records.
  • ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Work collaboratively with the wider Recovery Team.
  • ๐ŸŽฏ Encourage residents towards training, volunteering, employment and greater independence.
  • ๐Ÿง˜ Respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations.

๐Ÿ‘ค Essential Requirements

  • Experience supporting people with complex or multiple needs.
  • Understanding of addiction, recovery or related support services.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Experience working effectively within a team.
  • Good judgement, resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good IT and record-keeping skills.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Flexibility to work across locations and participate in relevant rotas.

โญ Desirable

  • Group facilitation experience.
  • Supported housing or residential experience.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and trauma-informed practice.
  • Relevant lived experience of recovery.
