RE Cover Teacher

The role will initially run for 2 weeks, with the potential for the position to be extended depending on the college's requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective RE lessons to sixth-form students and maintaining a positive learning environment throughout the placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality RE lessons across the sixth form provision.
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons that meet the needs of students.
• Support students with their academic progress and development.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess student understanding and provide appropriate feedback.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider college community.
• Follow college policies and safeguarding procedures.

Requirements

• Experience teaching Religious Education, ideally within a sixth-form or FE setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Relevant teaching qualification or significant teaching experience.
• Candidates MUST be registered on the DBS Update Service to be considered for this role.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday on a full-time basis.
