Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for an Employment Specialist (Individual Placement and Support - IPS) to join a community drug and alcohol treatment service in Swindon on an initial 3-month assignment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Employment Specialist, Employment Advisor, IPS Practitioner or someone with a strong background supporting people with complex needs into employment.
π About the Role
You will manage a caseload of around 25 clients who are accessing structured drug and alcohol treatment and are motivated to start or return to work.
Working as part of an integrated clinical team, you will use the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach to help clients identify their strengths, aspirations and employment goals, supporting them into sustainable and meaningful paid employment.
π Key Responsibilities
- π₯ Manage a caseload of approximately 25 clients.
- π€ Provide person-centred employment advice, guidance and support.
- π Complete vocational profiles and develop individual action plans.
- πΌ Support clients with CVs, applications, job searching and interview preparation.
- π Identify suitable employment opportunities through proactive employer engagement.
- π’ Build and maintain positive relationships with local employers.
- π¬ Support employers with workplace adjustments and strategies to help clients sustain employment.
- π± Provide ongoing in-work support following a successful placement.
- π§ββοΈ Work closely with clinical colleagues and attend regular team meetings.
- π Develop relationships with colleges, training providers and external organisations.
- π Maintain accurate case records and outcome data.
- β€οΈ Promote employment as a positive part of an individual's recovery journey.
- π§ Help identify and overcome barriers and inequalities affecting clients' access to employment.
