🚨 YOUNG PERSON'S WORKER - SOUTH EAST LONDON 🚨

📍 Location: South East London

👥 Positions: x2 available

📅 Contract: Temporary - approx. 2-3 months

⏰ Hours: 37.5 hours per week

💷 Pay: £15.29 + £1.85 holiday pay = £17.14 per hour

🔄 Rota: Monday-Sunday

🕐 Shift patterns:

• 🌅 Early: 8:00am-4:00pm
• ☀️ Mid: 10:00am-7:00pm
• 🌙 Late: 2:00pm-10:30pm

🏠 The Role

You'll be supporting vulnerable young people within a supported accommodation service, helping them develop independence and prepare for move-on.

Your responsibilities will include:

👥 Managing a caseload of 8 young people and delivering key-working sessions

📝 Creating and reviewing SMART Support & Safety Plans

🛡️ Completing risk assessments and risk management plans

🔎 Assessing referrals and identifying support needs

🏠 Supporting young people moving into and settling into accommodation

🔑 Helping young people move on into independent/social housing

🤝 Working alongside social workers, housing teams and external agencies

🌱 Running activities that build independence and life skills

🎓 Supporting access to education, employment and training

💷 Supporting with benefits, rent and service charges

🚨 Following safeguarding, Health & Safety and service procedures

⭐ We're looking for:

• Experience supporting young people or vulnerable adults
• Supported housing, homelessness or residential experience
• Strong safeguarding and risk assessment knowledge
• Experience creating support plans and working towards positive outcomes
• A trauma-informed, person-centred approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota
