We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Carpentry Lecturer to join our Construction team at a leading college in North London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional who is passionate about sharing their knowledge, developing practical skills and helping students build successful careers in the construction industry.

The role

As a Carpentry Lecturer, you will:

• Deliver engaging practical and theoretical carpentry lessons to students across a range of levels.
• Plan and prepare high-quality teaching and learning activities.
• Support students in developing their practical skills, knowledge and understanding of carpentry and joinery.
• Assess students' work and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and workshop practice.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure an excellent student experience.
• Support learners in preparing for further study, apprenticeships and employment within the construction sector.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Strong industry experience in carpentry and joinery.
• Relevant trade qualifications, such as an NVQ or City & Guilds qualification.
• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
• Excellent practical skills and up-to-date industry knowledge.
• The ability to motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
• A commitment to high standards of teaching, safeguarding and student support.
