About the Role / Job Summary:

Teach the practical skills and theory required for trade maintenance industries. As a Lecturer Machinist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education, focusing on hands-on machining experience and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons in machining, including operation and instruction on lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Ensure compliance with workshop health and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain curriculum materials and lesson plans.
• Support students in achieving their academic and practical skills development.

Qualifications:

• A recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or DET is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in operating and instructing on various machining equipment.
• Familiarity with the Further Education (FE) sector, particularly in regulated environments.

Education Requirements:

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

• Hands-on machining experience within a professional setting.
• Prior teaching experience within a UK Further Education (FE) setting.
• Experience in ensuring learner safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
