
Scaffolding Learning Coach
A Training Provider in the North West who are looking for a Scaffolding Learning Coach to work with apprenticeships, on a full-time permanent basis. You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and assessing students undertaking a Level 2 Scaffolding Apprenticeship Standard.
The Learning Coach will support apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship. This will include coaching and mentoring sessions, as well as delivering knowledge and practical learning in the workplace.
This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week, although part-time applications may also be considered.
Salary: £35,000 - £43,000
The successful applicant will need to be flexible, confident and an excellent communicator, with a genuine commitment to supporting learners to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain an agreed caseload of learners and carry out regular learner interventions.
- Ensure evidence relating to learning, achievement, funding and regulatory requirements is captured accurately and within required timescales.
- Ensure 20% off-the-job training requirements are fully met and recorded in accordance with procedures.
- Conduct regular progress reviews.
- Develop individualised learning programmes agreed with employers and learners, based on initial assessments and incorporating Maths and English where required.
- Fulfil teaching commitments where required, including delivery within classroom and workshop environments.
- Engage with learners' line managers, clearly communicating their responsibilities and working collaboratively to provide support, guidance and learning opportunities.
- Plan the End-Point Assessment process with learners and employers, ensuring preparation and practice are incorporated into the learning plan.
- Inspire and motivate learners, identify barriers to achievement and adapt delivery to meet individual needs.
- Motivate and support learners to achieve their qualifications within the required timescales.
- Deliver Maths and English, and ICT where applicable, to support learner achievement and progression.
- Ensure marking and feedback are accurate, constructive and supportive of learner development.
- Work closely with Internal Quality Assurance colleagues on best practice, development needs, sampling and monitoring requirements.
- Maintain positive working relationships with employers, supporting progression and identifying opportunities for future engagement.
- Produce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager and in line with relevant performance measures.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality learning materials.
- Demonstrate positive behaviours and attitudes aligned with the organisation's values.
- Actively contribute to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential
- Relevant occupational sector experience and appropriate qualifications at Level 2 or above in the area of delivery.
- Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT, or equivalent, or a willingness to undertake these qualifications.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs.
- Ability to deliver engaging and interactive teaching within a workshop environment.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with an understanding of the importance of adapting communication to the audience to support learning.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail and a proven ability to develop and deliver robust, effective and prioritised plans that achieve performance objectives.
- Ability to proactively drive learner performance and engagement.
- Customer-focused approach, with the ability to represent the organisation positively and to persuade and influence where appropriate.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities to improve processes and implement and embed change.
