Data Lead
£60,000 - £70,000 | Stratford, London (2 days per week in the office)
Are you passionate about using data to drive better business decisions and deliver commercial value?
We are recruiting a Data Lead for a leading Housing Association, responsible for helping the organisation make smarter investment decisions through the effective use of data, insight, and analysis. This is a highly visible role that sits between business and technology, requiring someone who can translate complex information into meaningful recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Rather than focusing on technical infrastructure, this role is about ensuring data is used effectively to understand performance, identify opportunities, assess investment priorities, and support long-term strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation's approach to data-driven decision making.
- Develop meaningful insight and reporting that supports business performance and investment planning.
- Use data, forecasting, and financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Drive improvements in data quality and ensure information can be trusted to support key decisions.
- Produce business cases, option appraisals, and performance analysis to support investment programmes.
- Work closely with senior leaders to shape strategy using evidence-based recommendations.
- Help the organisation maximise value from its data through improved commercial and operational insight.
- Support decision-making around investment, sustainability, regeneration, and portfolio performance.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.
You will likely have experience of:
- Using data and analytics to influence business strategy and investment decisions.
- Delivering insight, forecasting, and performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Financial modelling, scenario planning, or business performance analysis.
- Driving improvements in data quality and reporting practices.
- Partnering with operational and leadership teams to solve business challenges through data.
Experience within housing, asset management, or property would be beneficial but is not essential. We are open to candidates from a broad range of sectors who can demonstrate how they have used data to drive commercial outcomes, improve performance, and influence strategic decision-making.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded data leader who enjoys working with senior stakeholders and using data to shape the future direction of an organisation.
