Plumber

About the Role / Job Summary:

A public sector organisation is seeking a qualified plumber to join a maintenance-focused team on a 3-month contract. The role covers both domestic and commercial builds and emphasises reactive and planned maintenance tasks. This position suits a practical, safety-conscious trades person who will support building integrity and occupant safety across a variety of properties. Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance plumbing works across domestic and commercial properties, including repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
• Diagnose faults and provide efficient corrective actions for leaks, blockages, pipework failures, and fixture faults.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to minimise asset downtime.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and diagnostic reports.
• Maintain accurate job records, materials use logs, and service reports using supplied systems or paperwork.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures at all times.
• Liaise professionally with site contacts, occupants, and supervisors to coordinate access and works planning.
• Escalate complex technical issues promptly and seek approval for works outside scope or budget.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Plumbing qualification, or equivalent trade qualification.
