Morgan Hunt is partnering with a leading homelessness charity to recruit a Service Manager on a 12-month temporary basis. The role sits within a supported accommodation service for young people aged 18 - 25 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or have experienced rough sleeping. You will manage two accommodation buildings (one 12-bed, one 14-bed), lead a team of 13 staff across both services, and ensure high quality, safe, and outcomes focused support is delivered.




The Role

• Provide day - to - day operational leadership for two supported accommodation services and manage a team of 13 staff across both sites.
• Ensure contractual obligations and performance standards are met and maintained.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels, rota oversight, and effective deployment of staff resources.
• Supervise, coach, and appraise staff, addressing performance and development needs.
• Provide direct client support via phone and in - person drop - ins, and oversee the quality of support delivered.
• Represent the organisation at partnership and strategic meetings, building effective relationships with local authority teams, commissioners, and statutory partners to secure appropriate referrals.
• Contribute to service development, policy reviews, and strategic discussions to improve outcomes for young people.
• Maintain accurate records, case files, and service statistics; produce reports and contribute to evaluation activities.
• Chair team meetings and case management meetings and ensure effective information sharing within safeguarding and data security protocols.
• Oversee health and safety and housing management duties for the buildings, including repairs oversight and risk management.
• Participate in the on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support when required.

The Candidate

• Proven experience in supported accommodation or homelessness services, ideally working with young people aged 18 - 25.
• Experience managing teams and delivering front - line services, including staff supervision and performance management.
• Demonstrable experience supporting people with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse, offending behaviour, or care leaver status.
• Knowledge of benefits, housing management, and the criminal justice system as they relate to homelessness practice.
• Experience of risk assessment, safeguarding, information sharing, and data security practices.
• Proven ability to produce high - quality reports and use IT systems for data capture, queries, and reporting.
• Experience working with commissioners, statutory partners, and local authorities to deliver service outcomes.
