Job Title: Assessment Hub Caseworker
Base: Newham, London
Reports to: Team Leader
Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00
Pay: £14 holiday pay = £15.69 or £19.00 per umbrella per hour
Assignment: 1 month with potential extension
Purpose of Role:
As an Assessment Hub Caseworker at our confidential Newham Integrated Rough Sleeper Service, you will play a vital role in rapidly assessing service users within a 28-day assessment centre and creating suitable and sustainable Move-On Plans to resolve homelessness. Your responsibilities also include engaging with individuals leading a street-based lifestyle,\' including those sleeping rough, with the objective of connecting them with the appropriate services and facilitating their transition into more stable living conditions. You\'ll work to increase service user choice, involvement, and empowerment, promoting sustainable change while coordinating efforts to achieve positive outcomes for each client. Additionally, you\'ll focus on building and strengthening service user\'s personal strengths and social networks, both in the UK and their country of origin.
This role demands flexibility and a proactive approach to engage with hard-to-reach service users and provide a range of effective interventions. Key activities include identifying and establishing contact with service users sleeping rough, including those initially unwilling to engage with services. You\'ll collaborate with drug and alcohol teams to facilitate access to treatment, work with Mental Health Agencies to address mental health issues and ensure ongoing health care access for service users. Moreover, you\'ll support efforts to divert newcomers to rough sleeping, encourage people to return to their home communities, and cooperate with local Housing Providers to maximise accommodation opportunities.
You\'ll participate in street counts when required, represent the team at external forums, and maintain accurate service user records in compliance with Change Grow Live\'s procedures and protocols. This role may entail working irregular hours, including unsociable hours and during severe weather conditions.

Homeless Advice and Support Worker
Our client, a leading homelessness charity based in east London are looking for an Advice and Support Worker to work in a busy homeless day centre. Due to a company restructure a position has become available to work in a team of Assessment and Advice Workers in the assessment and signposting of clients experiencing homeless clients with high support needs to relevant support services in the borough.
Candidates for this role will need:
- Extensive housing knowledge and knowledge of the entitlement homeless clients have under different housing laws/ acts
- Experience of working with the homeless
- Experience of working in a homeless assessment capacity
- Resettlement experience and knowledge of housing options
DBS within 12 months of issue or on the online update service
Candidate duties:
- Offering advice and guidance on housing and resettlement related issues to clients accessing the service
- Overseeing casework delivery to clients
- Presenting clients with housing options
- Assisting clients to obtain their welfare, housing and related rights
- Referring clients on to relevant specialist support agencies for their needs
- Accurate recording of data into CHAIN
- Liaising with external agencies on behalf of clients

A leading homelessness charity in London have approached Morgan Hunt to recruit a Homeless Hostel Project Worker to work in their complex needs homeless hostel in south east London. The service provides support to both men and women experiencing homelessness requiring support around their housing, mental health, drug and or alcohol dependency and physical health issues. You will be supporting clients that have recently been rough sleeping with a range of complex support needs assisting them in their progression to independent living.
