Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Director of Finance near Manchester on a full time permanent basis with College. This Director of Finance role is paying up to £75,000 per annum.
The Director of Finance will need to advise and support in overseeing the financial management and strategic planning of the organisation and forecasting. The ideal candidate has strong education experience and have responsibility for other areas of the organisation.
Main Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:
Work collaboratively with the principal and other senior staff in all financial operations, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
Formulate short- and long-term financial strategies.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, keeping in line with a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Ensure other functions (MIS and Estates) are making a positive impact on the core business of the organisation.
Ensure all systems are maintained and up to date
Develop and implement budgeting and forecast system for the wider organisation.
Person Specification of the Finance Business Partner:
Hold a relevant degree or professional qualification from recognised accountancy bodies (e.g., CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA/ ICAEW)
Extensive management experience.
Understanding of safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
Further Education experience
Strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
Exhibit an understanding of risks and utilise financial and business intelligence for risk management and mitigation.
Communicate effectively across various stakeholder levels.
Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods.
Display confidence in independent work while also being collaborative and proactive.

Morgan Hunt is working with an East London based College in search of a temporary Finance officer to take on a busy Accounts Payable position. This is a 3-month, full time contract with a view of turning permanent.
The role is office based and pays £14.31 holiday pay ( total of £16.04 an hour)
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Officer:
- Day to day running of the purchase ledger including coding, registering, matching and filing of invoices. This is a high volume role with the average pace of approximately 100 invoices a day.
- Setting-up new suppliers on the Finance system.
- Support the Senior Accountant and the Finance Business Partner in the management of the managements accounts.
- Ensure accurate financial data to enable production of accurate management accounts Report and Accounts.
- Financial planning and month end process.
- Assist in the processing of Purchase Orders and Supplier payments with the AP Officer.
Previous Skills and Experience of the Finance Officer:
- Part / Fully Qualified AAT (or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
- Experience of processing a high volume of invoices
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Show a willingness to work hard
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS ( can be processed during application)
- Work collaboratively across the team
