Senior HR Advisor - Lancashire

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior HR Advisor to join a Health and Social Care Business based in Lancashire. This is a Permanent position, salary up to £40k, onsite flexible working.

This is a generalist role to provide advice, guidance, and support on a wide range of HR issues across the employee life cycle including employee relations, recruitment and selection, HR systems processes and procedures.


Role Senior HR Advisor

  • Develop, implement, and keep up to date all policies and procedures, keeping up with employment law changes and recognised good practice.
  • Coaching managers on issues such as absence, disciplinaries, grievances, maternity, flexible working, compliance, appraisals etc.
  • Undertake activities to promote and develop the culture of the business through our vision and values.
  • Ensure onboarding and offboarding processes are adhered to; new starter paperwork and production of employment contracts, accurate amendments to contracts to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Support the internal recruiter and central admin team with safer recruitment checks, exit interviews, stay interviews etc.
  • Continuously look for improvements in the HRIS System
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and CQC requirements to ensure the department is fully compliant and delivering best practice.
  • Keep up to date with regards to overseas best practice for recruitment and sponsorship

Skills and Experience Senior HR Advisor

  • 2 years plus experience at HR Advisor/Generalist level
  • Minimum CIPD L5 or working towards
  • Ideally experience in a CQC or Ofsted regulated environment.
  • An understanding of the requirements in respect of HR compliance and safeguarding
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and good practice, preferably in a regulated sector
