💷 £35,000 - £40,000 (pro rata)

Are you an experienced HR professional ready to make an impact straight away?

Our clients are seeking a proactive and hands-on Head of People and Culture to join their team on a temporary basis (2-3 months, with potential to extend). This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior HR role at a values-driven charity that's making a real difference in local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
• Manage on boarding, vetting (including DBS checks), and compliance with employment law.
• Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
• Maintain and update employee records with excellent attention to detail.
• Work with HR systems (ideally CORE HR) to streamline people processes.
• Champion a culture of engagement, well being, and inclusion across the organisation.

About You

• Previous HR experience is essential, with a good understanding of UK employment law and DBS processes.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (required for immediate start).
• Strong attention to detail, especially in on boarding and compliance.
• Confident working with HR systems- CORE HR experience highly desirable.
• Flexible, approachable, and able to hit the ground running.
