The Rol
We are seeking a passionate and committed Foundation Skills Lecturer to join a dedicated team of educators supporting learners in developing essential skills that lay the groundwork for lifelong learning and career progression.
You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of foundation-level programmes including English, Maths, Digital Skills, and Personal Development, helping students to build confidence and achieve recognised qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English, Maths and/or Digital Skills at Entry Level to Level 2
· Support the development of learners' employability, personal and social skills.
· Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
· Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, support staff and external partners to promote learner success.
· Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
Education, Skills and Requirements:
· Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DET).
· Must have an Enhanced DBS
· Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
· Experience delivering Functional Skills or foundation level courses.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to motivate and inspire learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.
